Lights and fibre optics, controlled by analyzing web traffic on Kristiansand Municipality´s web site. The data feed shows variations in the public´s use of municipal services, and the democratization of information. The more Kristiansand´s citizens participate and engange with the municipality services, the more variation in intensity and color.
The installation also points to the tower´s history as a lookout for the fire service, and as a hose drying tower - a very important building for a city built with wood. The physical features of the installation opens the volume and dimensions of the tower, and give it weight and importance in the public space.
